Name: Lampton-DeLaurentis, Mary J.
Mathematics was always my favorite subject. I had the pleasure to repay my education from Mr. Clark when I taught two of his children during my teaching career.
Never thought I learned anything in Chemistry class due in part to the antics of Andy Behrman, my lab mate. Then I blitzed the college entry test and got full credit. Was it Mr. Kleinbeck droning on forever or Andy making me doing every experiment twice?
Who would you like to see again?
All those in our class who are lost to us now.
What did you dream of doing when you grew-up?
I wanted to be a teacher since I was 5 yrs. old. I taught math at Cooper City HS for 9 years and became very discouraged with the system. I went back to college and studied computer programming just as IBM needed lots of employees. I made some new dreams and pursued them there.
Spouse or Partner Name: (Did they attend McArthur and what class year?)
My husband of 40+ years now is Arthur DeLaurentis. We dated in HS although he attended Chaminade Class 1968. He is my biggest dream come true!
My sister was in the Army as I attended HS.
I never entered the service but bless her everyday for doing her part.
Art and I are retired now in Melbourne, FL. I travelled a lot while working for IBM; one year we lived in Rome, Italy which was unforgetable. We like to travel for fun now.
Too many interests and hobbies to list here.
